Samsung teaser shows Galaxy Z Fold 6 ‘Special Edition’ first look

Samsung has recently teased the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition, building anticipation with a short video revealing a glimpse of the device. Set for a formal announcement on October 21, this version promises some notable enhancements compared to the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6. Reports suggest that the Special Edition could feature a thinner design—approximately 0.6 mm slimmer—and may utilize a titanium frame for improved durability.

One of the standout features of the Special Edition is a more advanced camera setup. It is expected to sport a 200 MP primary camera, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and an enhanced under-display camera. Additionally, this model might offer a larger cover screen and main display, expanding from the standard model’s 6.3-inch and 7.6-inch to 6.5-inch and 8-inch, respectively. Samsung has reportedly worked on reducing the crease in the foldable display, a point where previous Galaxy Z Fold models lagged behind competitors like Motorola and OPPO.

From the design perspective, leaked renders show a triple-camera setup with individual camera rings housed in a raised camera island. The device’s frame has a textured finish and a rose-gold color option, adding a touch of elegance. However, many details remain speculative until the official launch, including whether the improvements will set this version apart enough to justify its likely premium price.

While this edition seems focused on delivering a sleeker and more refined experience, especially in terms of camera and durability, it might initially be exclusive to select regions, such as China and South Korea. More information should emerge once it is formally unveiled, but the excitement is already building for this premium foldable device.
